Two years ago...

Two years ago today I was flying from LA back to NY for the first time. My first trip out here was a success - I came here with One on One, met 15 agents and managers and 5 casting directors in a weekend and during that time I met my manager, Selena. She and I started working together and I was moving to the west coast. That was an insane time. The writer's strike was just starting, holidays were happening and I was between coasts until I moved here officially in the beginning of January.

So where have these two years taken me? Work-wise, I had a co-star on House and shot the Southwest commercial. I think that just now, two years later, the industry is starting to feel a little more stable since the strike. It was impossible to get seen after the strike ended and then SAG was in a state of strike-limbo so not much work was going on. My auditions have been few and far between so I'm constantly redefining the word "patience" in my vocabulary. But I haven't regretted the move for a second. I love it out here and, like I said when I started this blog, I feel "on the verge." I'm excited to see where the next two years take me.

(PS - the picture is from my first trip out here 2 years ago. We were in Malibu, having lunch at Gladstones.)
