Last night

Couldn't wake up this morning. Still feeling like I'm in a daze.  Pretty sure the last month or so has caught up and my body is demanding me to take a day and relax.  So I will and I am.  But first a little post...

Last night I had a casting workshop to go to and I was pretty psyched.  I got there and ran into Melanie Molnar, "Eva" of GIRL PARTS.  She was there for a different workshop.  I said, "Oh, who are you meeting?"  And she was like, "The casting director from Two and a Half Men, Mike and Molly, Big Bang..."  And I was like, "Wha?? How did I miss signing up for that one too?  I wonder if I can get on the waitlist?"  And she was like, "You should definitely try.  And I have extra sides that you can use cause she only wants to see stuff from her shows."  So I was like, "Wha?? How does that work out so perfectly?"  We went in, signed in, I was able to sign up for the workshop Melanie was going in for and got to meet two casting directors last night, for shows that I really feel I'm right for.  And thank goodness Melanie was there and extra prepared.  The scene that I ended up doing was a lot of fun and went over well.  And then when I met with the casting director I was originally there to meet, she couldn't have been nicer or taken more of an invested interest in making the most out of our evening.  A lot of times you go in for these workshops and you're in and out and feel like, Was that worth my time?  But she took extra time for redirects and thoughtful written feedback.  All and all, it felt like a productive evening.  Fingers perpetually crossed!
